Ingredients & Prep

   600 g  Button mushrooms sliced in halves
   1 Onion thinly sliced
   1 Green chili seeds removed sliced thin
   2 Garlic clove grated
   1 tsp  Ground cumin
   1 tsp  Ground coriander
   1 tbsp  Smoked paprika
   1 tsp  Garam masala
   1 tbsp  Tomato puree
   1/2 tsp  Ground turmeric
   60 ml  Water
   2 tbsp  Veg oil
   1/2 tsp  Salt
  Garnish
   sprinkle  Fresh coriander chopped

Method

  Step 1
Heat on med a frying pan or wok heat oil & fry onion until the onion is just soft, add sliced mushrooms, garlic chilli & salt, cook until the mushrooms are soft, give them a stir now & then.
  Step 2
Meanwhile mix in a bowl the tomato puree, all the spices & the water & set aside.
  Step 3
Add tomato water mix to the mushrooms when light brown, cook liquid out until there is a thick sauce, tip into a serving bowl & garnish.

Suggestion & Tips

Great with Indian food or on there own, double portion size for a Main meal.
