Ingredients & Prep

Parsnips peeled & quartered
60 g
Butter melted
2 tbsp
Runny honey or Maple syrup
1/2 tsp
Ground cumin
1/2 tsp
Garlic powder or granules
1/2 tsp
Freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp

Method
Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 170°C fan.
Step 2
Par boil parsnips is boil water for 5 mins, drain into a colander & allow to steam dry & cool.
Step 3
Place parsnips into a baking tin/tray with half the butter, coat the parsnip then bake for 20 min.
Step 4
In the meantime in a bowl mix the other half of the butter with the honey/maple, garlic, cumin, salt & pepper.
Step 5
When parsnips have had the first 20 mins remove from the oven & drain away any butter in the tray, then pour over the mixed butter honey/maple mixture over the top & baste parsnips, place back in the oven & cook for 15 to 20 mins more to crisp up.
Step 6
Keep you eye on then at this stage as not to burn from the sugar, when done place on a serving platter.
Suggestion & Tips
Very good with a roast, especially with Duck.
