Ingredients & Prep

   250 g  chickpeas tinned drained weight (250g in 400g tin)
   140 g  tahini
   2 tbsp  lemon juice
   1/2 onion med finely chopped
   1 garlic clove chopped
   1/2 tsp  salt
   2 tbsp  olive oil for frying
  Garnish
   sprinkle  extra virgin olive oil
   sprinkle  paprika

Method

  Step 1
Heat a frying pan on a med heat, add oil & onion, fry until nut brown, set aside to cool.
  Step 2
Place all the ingredients including fried onion into a food processor or in the tall contained & blitz until you have a smooth paste, put in a serving bowl, drizzle over olive oil & sprinkle on paprika.
