Ingredients & Prep
200 g
Fresh strawberries hulled & sliced
120 g
Rocket leaves
100 g
Gorgonzola cheese crumbled
85 g
Pecan nuts
1 Shallot finely sliced
Dressing
3 tbsp
Extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp
Balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp
Fresh basil finely chopped
1/4 tsp
Freshly ground black pepper
1 pinch

Method
Step 1
Place a dry fry pan over a med heat, add pecan nuts & toss for a few minutes until toasted on both sides, tip into a bowl when done.
Step 2
Make the dressing by either putting all the dressing ingredients into a clean jam jar & shaking it, or whisking together in a bowl.
Step 3
Place strawberries with the nut then add rocket & sliced shallot, add dressing & mix together.
Step 4
Place salad on individual plates or on a platter then crumble over cheese.
Suggestion & Tips
Very nice with crusty bread.
