Sirloin Beef steak
2 tbsp
Groundnut oil
1 tsp
Thai fish sauce
1/4 tsp
Freshly ground black pepper

340 g
Crispy salad leaves of choice
1/2 Cucumber sliced
1 Red onion finely sliced
16 Cherry tomatoes cut in half
30 g
Fresh coriander chopped
10 g
Fresh mint chopped
Dressing
3 tbsp
Lime juice
3 tbsp
Thai fish sauce
2 tbsp
Groundnut oil
1 tbsp
Thai sweet chill sauce
3 Garlic cloves finely grated
2 Red hot chillies finely chopped
Garnish
4 tbsp
Roast peanuts chopped
Method
Step 1
Place all the salad ingredients into a bowl.
Step 2
Make the dressing by either putting all the dressing ingredients into a clean jam jar & shaking it, or whisking together in a bowl.
Step 3
In a bowl rub the fish sauce & black pepper into the steaks, then heat a frying pan on a med to high heat, add oil & fry the steaks to your taste, then place on a chopping board to rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thin strips.
Step 4
Dress the salad with enough dressing to you taste & mix all together well, then place on serving plates with beef strips in the centre of each plate, garnish with peanuts.
Suggestion & Tips
Use less or more chilli to your taste. Duck works well with this recipe.
