Method
Step 1
Add butter, all chopped apple & blackberries into a saucepan, heat on low using a wooden spoon stir mixture until fruit just starts to break apart, mix water with cornflour & stir in to form a sauce around the softened fruit, then turn off & set aside.
Step 2
Pre- heat oven to 170'c.
Step 3
In a bowl add flour & caster sugar, mix together, then grate cold butter a bit at a time, in-between gratings toss around in the flour, when all the butter is grated in run you fingertips through the crumble mix to combine into a breadcrumb consistency.
Step 4
Tip fruit mixture into a baking dish evenly across, then loosely cover the fruit with the crumble mix.
Step 5
Place crumble in the oven & bake for 40 to 50 min or until light golden brown on top.
Suggestion & Tips
Classic British pud, serve with home made custard or cream.
