Ingredients & Prep

   8 Lamb chops
   500 g  Natural yoghurt
   40 g  Ginger finely grated
   6 Garlic cloves finely grated
   2 tbsp  Tomato puree
   2 tbsp  Paprika powder
   1/2 tsp  chilli powder
   2 tbsp  Lemon juice
   3 tsp  Garam masala
   2 tsp  Salt
   2 tsp  Fenugreek powder
  Fenugreek Fries
   1200 g  Maris piper potatoes cut into chips
   1/2 tsp  Ground turmeric
   2 tsp  Chat masala
   1 Red chilli finely chopped
   2 tsp  Fenugreek powder
   10 g  Fresh coriander chopped
   1/2 Red onion finely sliced
   sprinkle  Salt
  Green Chutney
   30 g  Fresh coriander chopped
   20 g  Fresh mint leaves chopped
   1 Chilli green finely chopped
   1 tbsp  Lemon juice
   1/2 tsp  Sugar
   1 tsp  Tamarind paste
   1/2 tsp  Salt


  Step 1
Mix well all marinade ingredients in a bowl, add chops & coat each one with the marinade & leave in the fridge overnight is best but for as long a possible.
  Step 2
For the fenugreek fries, cut & blanch chips in salted boiling water for 8 mins, drain & allow to cool, mix fenugreek & turmeric powder sprinkle over chips then carefully rub in then deep fry in hot oil for about 8 mins until golden, sprinkle over salt, coriander, onion, & chat masala.
  Step 3
Make chutney by blending all ingredients together into a paste.
  Step 4
Grill marinated chops under a hot grill for 4 to 5 mins on each side or to your preference.

Suggestion & Tips

You can use lamb stakes if you wish or chicken.
