Ingredients & Prep
180 g
Wholemeal flour
60 g
Plain flour
120 g
Butter unsalted grated
80 g
Golden Caster sugar
70 ml
Milk
1 tsp
Baking powder
1/2 tsp
Salt
Method
Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 170°C fan.
Step 2
In a bowl add flour, salt, sugar & baking powder & mix well, then grate in the butter & rub with your finger tips into a crumb then add milk mix in to form a dough, if too dry add a little more milk.
Step 3
Place dough on a lightly floured worktop & roll out to about 6mm thick, then with a pastry cutter or with a glass cut out a many as you can then gather left over dough & repeat until you have used up the dough.
Step 4
Place biscuits onto a baking sheet with either greaseproof paper or on silicon mats, prick the tops with a fork then bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Suggestion & Tips
If you like chocolate ones, melt & use a pastry brush to coat the top.
