Ingredients & Prep

self-raising flour
150 g
caster sugar
150 g
dark cooking chocolate chopped or chips
125 g
butter salted softened
30 g
light brown soft sugar
1 egg beaten
1 tsp
Vanilla extract (optional)
Method
Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2
In a bowl cream the butter & sugars together with an electric hand whisk, then slowly whisk in the egg.
Step 3
Now add the flour & chocolate & fold together with a silicon spatula into a dough.
Step 4
Place a silicon mat or greaseproof paper on a baking sheet/tray, then with a spoon form dough into large walnut sized balls & place on the tray with at lease 5 cm apart to allow for spread.
Step 5
Bake for between 7 to 10 mins or until light brown around the edges, remove from the oven & allow to cool, store in an air tight container.
Suggestion & Tips
Best eaten warm from the oven with a nice with a cup of tea.
