Ingredients & Prep
6 Chicken thighs
6 Chicken drumsticks
Marinade
3 tbsp
orange marmalade
2 tbsp
honey runny
1 tbsp
fresh ginger grated
2 tbsp
soy sauce
1 tbsp
roasted sesame oil
1 tbsp
garlic clove grated
2 tsp
Chinese five spice
1 orange zest
Method
Step 1
Cut a couple of slashes in the chicken with a sharp knife.
Step 2
In a bowl add the marinade ingredients & mix well, add chicken & coat or place chicken in a plastic bag then pour in marinade in & squish marinade over the chicken, squeeze out the air, leave in the fridge for at least 4 hours or over night, if marinating in a bowl turn every hour.
Step 3
Place marinated chicken in a baking tray (reserve the marinade) & bake for 1 hour at 140'c to cook without colour.
Step 4
Re-coat chicken with reserved marinade, barbecue to colour chicken pieces or put in a over at 200'c for 8 to 10 min to colour.
Suggestion & Tips
Pre-cooking in the oven first insures its cooked through.
