Ingredients & Prep

lamb mince
4 burger buns
1/2 red onion grated
50 g
breadcrumbs preferably panko
3 garlic cloves finely grated
3 tbsp
fresh coriander chopped
1 egg white
Spice Mix
2 tsp
cumin seeds crushed or ground
2 tsp
coriander ground
1 tbsp
paprika
1 tsp
cinnamon ground
1 tsp
chilli powder
1 salt
1 tsp
freshly ground black pepper
Mint Yogurt Sauce
230 g
Greek yogurt thick
2 tbsp
fresh mint finely chopped
1 garlic cloves finely grated (optional)
1 tbsp
extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp
lemon juice
1/2 tsp
cumin seeds crushed or ground
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
freshly ground black pepper
Garnish
1/2 red onion sliced
60 g
Lettuce leaves shredded
2 tomato sliced
Method
Step 1
Mix all spice ingredients in a bowl, set aside.
Step 2
In a bowl mix the lamb mince with breadcrumbs, grated onion, garlic, coriander, egg white & spice mix, then mix well with clean hands, then form into patties about 150 to 170g each.
Step 3
Place patties on the barbecue or under a grill & cook for about 10 to 15 mins turning often, to ensure meat is cooked, cut one in halfway to see if its cooked all the way through, less time if you like it pink in the middle.
Step 4
Cut buns in half & toast light brown.
Step 5
Build burgers by a good dollop of the mint yogurt on the base then a patty more mint yogurt & garnish & top with the other half bun.
Suggestion & Tips
You can add more or less chilli depending on your taste, or use fresh chilli.
