Ingredients & Prep
Note: Weighing out ingredients
We highly recommend (but it is not essential) to convert all ingredients into gram measurements wherever possible. You can do this with 2 sets of accurate electronic kitchen scales, one from 10k to 1g and the other a fine set accurate scales to 0.01g, for 1/8 or 1/4 tsp measurements. This helps with consistency, ease and any future modifications. If spoons are used then they should be level.

See Fig 2
Write ingredient in 'Ingredients & Prep' in the first row box (generally start with the heaviest first) then in the same box write Ingredient preparation e.g. if to be chopped, sliced (roughly or finely), beaten, grated, pre-cooked, quartered, fresh, peeled, tinned, zest only, juice, minced etc.

To add next ingredient click row Add Row a new row will appear below row clicked. If you wish to remove an ingredient click Delete X  at the end of the row.

Measurements & Quantity: - Try to use grams and convert from imperial where ever you can!!! Click Conversions to view...

All measurements defaults to grams, if a *item/s- tsp - tbsp - oz - pinch - handful - cup etc is required click grams in Measurement column & choose required one from the drop-down list.

If your Ingredient is a whole ingredient (like an egg or an onion) again click grams in Measurement column and select *item/s.

If not a complete whole ingredient (item/s) like ½ onion or a fraction Measurement like ½ tsp or tbsp enter Quantity as a Decimal Fraction i.e.:-
1/8  = 0.12, 1/4 = 0.25, 1/3 = 0.33, 1/2 = 0.50, 3/4 = 0.75g, 1 = 1, 1 1/8 = 1.12, 1 1/4 = 1.25 etc.
All Measurements marked with an asterisks* the Quantity needs to be made with Decimal Fractions, a conversion table above will appear when * Measurements are selected. To turn off in a Sub Heading then click Table Off. To turn table off permanently go My Account.
You can re-set by re-clicking selected Measurement.

Oil for frying, if shallow then state amount needed, if deep then select deep fat fry in Measurement drop-down list.
